American Idol winner in the studio

Speaking to Billboard.com about the album, Jordin Sparks said: "It's going well. We've had some meetings, and the other night I recorded a song. I can't tell you details or anything like that, but I am very excited about it."
The singer said she wanted to mix the sound of former 'American Idol' winner Kelly Clarkson and Beyoncé on the record.
"It's hard to get at what my sound is," she said, "but I think that's what I'm trying to get."
Sparks hopes to release the album before Thanksgiving in the US and will work on it during breaks in the upcoming 'American Idols Live!' tour.
