Craig wins an award for Bond debut
Monday 5 February 2007Craig accepted the award in person at the ceremony in London.
It is the first award Craig has won for his portrayal of Bond; he is also among the nominees for next week's BAFTA awards.
Judi Dench was named Best Actress for 'Notes on a Scandal' while Sacha Baron Cohen was the recipient of the Peter Sellers Award for Comedy for 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan'.
'United 93' was named Best Film while Paul Andrew Williams won Most Promising Newcomer for his film 'London to Brighton'.
There were two awards for 'The Queen': director Stephen Frears won the Alexander Walker Special Award while writer Peter Morgan was honoured with the Best Screenplay award for his work on both 'The Queen' and 'The Last King of Scotland'.
Cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle won the Technical Achievement award for his work on 'The Last King of Scotland' and 'Brothers of the Head'.
