Madonna blames media for baby row

The singer goes on American TV later today to break her silence over the controversy.
The interview with Oprah Winfrey was recorded via satellite from London yesterday.
Madonna tells Oprah she was surprised by the firestorm surrounding her efforts to adopt the 13-month-old boy.
According to audience members who were at the show, Madonna says she and husband Guy Ritchie had been thinking about adoption for more than two years.
It is the first time the singer has spoken publicly about baby David, who she got from an orphanage in Malawi.
The child's father has said he thought Madonna was only going to raise and educate his son.
The singer apparently says she was 'startled' to hear that.
"She said she met with the father, she looked him in the eye," audience member Sheryl Lewis said.
Madonna, she added, said she acted according to the law and had both "oral and written approval . and now the press have got to him," Lewis said.
