Album, tour for Freyne and his Bad Intentions
Tuesday 19 September 2006The Bad Intentions are: Les Keye, formerly a member of the Wilde Oscars; Jack Cawley, one half of Bitter Little Cowboy; Eoin MacIonmhain, soon to launch his Calico Jak project; and Frances Mitchell, Crash Ensemble production manager and one-time member of NPB.
The album, which will be released in October, is called 'Nobody Ever Dies' and the band describe it as "cosmic country/psycho-folk music."
Having already supported the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, Stuart Staples from Tindersticks, Josh Pearson of Lift to Experience and Two Gallants, Patrick Freyne and his Bad Intentions are due to embark on a nationwide tour.
Tour dates announced so far:
27 September - Crawdaddy, Dublin. Supporting Kelley Stoltz
28 September - Roisin Dubh, Galway. Freyne solo
30 September - Crawdaddy. Benefit gig for Aware
1 October - The Boom Boom Room, Dublin. Supporting Jawbone
7 October - Tower Records, Dublin. 1pm instore
7 October - Cleeres, Kilkenny
8 October - The Spirit Store, Dundalk
14 October - Pravda. As part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival
24 October - Crawdaddy, Dublin. Headline and Dublin launch gig

Thirty-two vet students are at one of the toughest vet schools in the world in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Under the guiding hand of Chief Vet, Dr Will Fowlds, the students tackle everything from lions to rhinos to giraffes and elephants. In tonight's episode, TV vet Steve Leonard who presents the show is pushed to his limits when he's left in charge of 16 vet students and a hall of 100 barking dogs while Cambridge student Nadia gets a second chance at being a team leader.
