Joel Beckett set to quit EastEnders

According to the Sunday Mirror, Beckett, who plays Jake Moon in the soap, is due to leave Albert Square later this year, with the door being left open for the return of his character.
Beckett reportedly said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in the show. It's been a great experience, one which I'll never forget. However, I now feel that it is the right time to move on and further my career."
'EastEnders' executive producer Kate Harwood was quoted as saying: "Joel has been a great asset to the show. We are planning an explosive exit for his character and we wish him the best of luck for the future."
