Two more Mitchells for EastEnders
Wednesday 18 January 2006Courtney Mitchell, who is the ten-year-old daughter of Grant (played by Ross Kemp) and Tiffany (who was played by Martine McCutcheon), will arrive back to Albert Square with her father at the end of March.
The character will be played by ten-year-old Megan Jossa. Courtney was taken to Rio by Grant after Tiffany was killed in a road accident in 1998.
An 'EastEnders' spokesperson said: "Courtney is charming and intelligent but she's a very spoilt child. She loves being the centre of her father's attention."
Actress Megan Jossa said: "I couldn't believe it when I heard I had got the part - acting with Ross Kemp is going to be amazing and I can't wait."
Phil Mitchell's son Ben will also be returning to the show, after his mother Kathy dies in South Africa. The character, who will be played by nine-year-old Charlie Jones, will be at the centre of a custody battle between Phil and Kathy's son Ian Beale.
Jim Branning's estranged son Max is also due to make an appearance in the coming months. He will be played by 33-year-old Jake Wood, who previously starred in 'Doc Martin' and 'Red Dwarf'.

Meanwhile, Kenneth prepares for the Rapture.

- Golf: PGA Championship
Golf is one sport that looks amazing on TV, so here's another treat for couch potatoes. Hazel Irvine presents live coverage of the fourth and final round at Wentworth. Last year's final day culminated in a dramatic play-off between Luke Donald and Lee Westwood, and it was the former who emerged victorious to take the world number one spot off his compatriot. With so many Europeans dominating the top of the World rankings, viewers can expect a tight contest (and maybe an Irish win).
