Walsh agrees pay deal for next X Factor
Tuesday 3 January 2006According to ITV, Walsh has been given a pay rise of £100,000 to appear on the judging panel in the next series of the show.
Walsh threatened to walk out on the show during the last series, claiming that he was being bullied by fellow judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne, who threw three glasses of water over him during a live show.
It was also reported that Walsh was unhappy with the fact that Osbourne was earning more than him for appearing on the show. According to reports, his latest pay rise will see him earn the same amount as Osbourne for mentoring the acts on the show.
Walsh mentored the last winner of the series, Shayne Ward, who scored record sales of his debut single 'That's My Goal', earning him the UK Christmas number one.
'X Factor' creator Cowell has also reportedly rubbished media rumours that Victoria Beckham will be joining the judging panel on the next series of the show.
