Aniston threatens to sue over topless photos

Aniston's lawyers posted a letter on The Smoking Gun website saying that the photographer who took the pictures, Peter Brandt, was already being sued for invasion of privacy, for either trespassing on Aniston's property of using a high-powered lens.
The statement said: "The purpose of this letter is to put you on notice that the publication of certain photos of Ms. Aniston... showing her topless or in the act of taking off or putting on her top... will constitute a violation of Ms. Aniston's right to privacy and a violation of other applicable law."
However, Brandt, who took the photographs, has claimed that he obtained them legally. "I've been in this business for 25 years and I don't do anything illegal," he said. "I was 300 yards away and anybody on that hillside could have seen her."
The photographer also said that he had not yet been served with a lawsuit in connection with the photographs.
"I was not trying to get a photo of her topless, that was not on my mind at all," he said, explaining that he was attempting to get pictures of Aniston with actor Vince Vaughn.
