Beckham splashes out on Posh date
Wednesday 16 November 2005The footballer jetted the former Posh Spice back from a business trip to Japan and presented her with swanky gifts when they stayed at a top London hotel on Sunday.
Sources say Beckham wanted to pamper his wife, who has been frantic about their son Romeo's recent illness.
A friend told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "He and Victoria have had a fraught few weeks waiting to find out more about Romeo's convulsions. They've also both been very busy working. He thought she deserved to be spoilt and shown how loved she is."
The romantic night started when a plane ticket home was delivered to Victoria's Japanese hotel room. After the 6,000 mile flight, Victoria was whisked to the plush Blakes Hotel in London, where David had filled a luxurious suite with presents and flowers.
The insider revealed: "There were presents all over the four-poster bed - it was like Victoria's birthday and Christmas rolled into one."
The pair then went out for dinner in Victoria's favourite restaurant, Cipriani.
