X Factor star wants to prove Walsh right
Thursday 10 November 2005The 18-year-old singer was in the bottom two contestants after the public vote and was saved by Walsh after he sang against Chenai for the final place on this week's show.
Speaking about his upcoming performance, Nicholas said this week: "I feel that I've got more to give and I want to grow as the competition goes on. I'm very thankful that he picked me and hopefully I won't let him down a second time."
"It was very hard because you start questioning if the public really like you and whether there's any point in me being in the competition. You start to doubt yourself a little bit," he said.
Looking ahead to Saturday night's performance, Nicholas said, in an interview on the show's website: "I'm so grateful to be here another week, there's no point dwelling on the situation. I'm just looking forward to Saturday and giving the best performance I can give."
Nicholas is one of two acts remaining in the competition for Louis Walsh. Simon Cowell also has two acts left, while Sharon Osbourne's four finalists all remain in the show.
