Pure Mule is big winner at the IFTAs

Its stars Tom Murphy and Dawn Bradfield won the awards for Best Television Actor and Actress, for their roles as Shamie and Deirdre respectively.
Eileen Walsh, who plays Therese in the show, claimed the award for Best Supporting Actress on Television. 'The Clinic's Gary Lydon, who plays counsellor Patrick in the show, won Best Supporting Actor on Television.
'Pure Mule' also scooped the awards for Best Director Television, for Declan Recks, and Best Sound for Television or Film.
RTÉ series 'Love is the Drug' picked up the award for Best Television Drama Series and Eddie Hobbs' 'Show Me The Money' claimed the award for Best Lifestyle Programme. The award for Best Entertainment Series went to RTÉ comedy sketch show 'Stew'.
'Prime Time Investigates' won the award for Best Current Affairs programme for its documentary about the Leas Cross Nursing Home. The award for Best Documentary in the English Language went to 'John McGahern - A Private World'.
'Ireland AM' presenter Mark Cagney claimed the TV Personality of the Year award. In current affairs, BBC Newsline picked up the award for Best News Programme.
The award for People's Choice Best Irish Film went to 'Inside I'm Dancing', with 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' picking up the award for Best International Film. The jury award for Best Irish Film went to 'Pavee Lackeen'.
Former 'X-Files' star Gillian Anderson claimed the award for Best International Actress, with the Best International Actor award going to Mickey Rourke for 'Sin City'. Terry George picked up the award for Best Film Director for his work on 'Hotel Rwanda'.
Renee Weldon picked up the award for Best Irish Actress in a Feature Film for her role in 'Trouble With Sex'. Liam Neeson was named as Best Irish Actor in a Feature Film. The awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Film went to Sean McGinley and Charlotte Bradley respectively.
Irish film and television actor David Kelly was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
