Pacino receives Cinematheque Award

The annual award honours "an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is fully engaged in his or her work and is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of the motion picture".
Among those who attended the ceremony were Charlize Theron, Ed Harris and Keanu Reeves, while Colin Farrell, Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep recorded taped tributes.
Bruce Willis presented the award to an emotional Pacino, telling him that his performance in 'The Godfather' was the reason he became an actor.
