Richards files for divorce from Sheen
Thursday 3 March 2005Former Bond girl Richards, 34, is six months pregnant with the couple's second child and is preparing for a court battle to win custody of their children.
The news will come as a surprise to observers who saw the couple hand-in-hand at the recent Golden Globe awards and at the Screen Actors Guild ceremony.
Court papers filed in LA show that Richards has requested that Sheen support her and that he be granted visiting rights to the children.
Richards and Sheen, 39, met when they worked on the movie 'Good Advice'. She later guest-starred on his hit TV sitcom 'Spin City' and the pair married in 2002.
Reformed bad-boy Sheen starred in 'Platoon', 'Wall Street' and 'Hot Shots'.
