Murray departs Celebrity Fame Academy

The stand-up comic was voted out of the show after only one television performance. Murray feigned tears as the news was broken to him by presenters Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty.
The comedian was the first of the 13 celebrities taking part to be voted off the second series of the BBC show, after his rendition of 'Stuck in the Middle With You'.
Fellow comedian Jenny Éclair and impressionist Jon Culshaw also faced eviction with Murray, but Éclair was spared eviction by the show's judges and his fellow contestants saved Culshaw from departing the academy.
'EastEnders' actress Kim Medcalf is favourite to win the show at odds of 2-1, while 'Coronation Street' star Debra Stephenson is second favourite at 3-1.
On Wednesday night a second student will be expelled before the remaining contestants move into the 'Fame Academy' house.
