No Hope for David in You're a Star
Sunday 23 January 2005Hope was one of two acts eliminated from the competition on Sunday after receiving the least number of votes. The other act to be knocked out was the George girl band.
A total of eight acts made it through to the next stage of the show and are still in the running to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Henry Girls secured the most support from the public, who voted both by text and on the phone, ahead of Pete Fagan, Aine O'Doherty and Sinead Mulvey.
The other four acts voted through were: Lorraine Maher and Ann Harrington, both Wildcard selections, brother and sister Donna and Joseph McCaul, and the Jade band
