Cobain letter to Love to be auctioned
Monday 15 November 2004The letter, written in a Sheffield hotel room in 1991 when Nirvana were performing a British tour, is to go under the hammer as part of a sale of rock memorabilia.
Cobain's letter, entitled 'Courtney Love Breakfast Fax', is written in black ball-point pen on lined 8x11 inch paper.
The letter describes hallucinations that Cobain claims he was having at the time, as well as mentioning an episode of 'Top of the Pops' that the star had just watched.
Cobain asked a hotel receptionist to fax the letter to Love for him. When she later asked what she should do with the original, Cobain told her to keep it as a souvenir.
