McGregor to become Unicef ambassador

The 33-year-old star decided to work with UNICEF UK after seeing the plight of children around the world on his recent motorbike trek.
The three-month trip from Britain to New York took the McGregor and his friend Charley Boorman through some of the world's poorest spots, including Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
He said: "I vowed then and there to devote time and effort to do as much as I could for UNICEF once I returned home."
"I was determined to make working with UNICEF not just something that I did on the trip but something I'd do for the rest of my life."
"I'm in a position to use the recognition from my work to do something really positive for children. I am so honoured to have this opportunity to become an ambassador."
McGregor, who has two children, is also patron of the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (Chas) and has helped it raise nearly £10m.
