Presley's first recording marked in Memphis

Thousands of fans are expected to congregate at the Sun Studios site to commemorate Presley's recording of 'That's All Right Mama', which he played with Scotty Moore and Bill Black as part of an audition piece for then Sun Records boss Sam Phillips.
After the song was initially recorded it was taken to a local radio station in Memphis, where it was played seven times in a row, sparking huge public interest in the rock 'n' roll singer and launching his career.
Pop star Justin Timberlake is expected to attend today's festivities in Memphis, along with many other musicians.
'That's All Right Mama' is set to be re-released with its original B-side 'Blue Moon of Kentucky'. It is expected to be available on both CD single and 10 inch vinyl record, but with limited availability.
