Big Brother eviction show cancelled
Friday 18 June 2004Producers believe that the pressure of eviction night would unsettle the feuding housemates further and have opted to allow both Vanessa and Dan to remain in the house for another week.
The same two contestants will face the public vote next week, when producers are hoping the atmosphere in the house will have calmed down.
Housemate Emma remains in solitary confinement today, after spending a second night locked in a bedsit alone for her part in the row.
In a heated exchange Victor and Emma threatened to kill each other, before becoming involved in a physical fight. Other housemates also joined in, with Jason throwing furniture and screaming abuse at Nadia.
Despite pleas to be released from the bedsit, Emma has not been allowed to have any contact with the other housemates but it is believed that she may be asked to have a private meeting with Victor later today in an effort to iron out their differences.
Seven million viewers tuned in last night to watch the highlights show that featured the brawl between the housemates.

Meanwhile, Kenneth prepares for the Rapture.

- Golf: PGA Championship
Golf is one sport that looks amazing on TV, so here's another treat for couch potatoes. Hazel Irvine presents live coverage of the fourth and final round at Wentworth. Last year's final day culminated in a dramatic play-off between Luke Donald and Lee Westwood, and it was the former who emerged victorious to take the world number one spot off his compatriot. With so many Europeans dominating the top of the World rankings, viewers can expect a tight contest (and maybe an Irish win).
