Assault charges against Love in LA
Thursday 10 June 2004The felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon stems from an incident that took place at the Los Angeles home of Love's former boyfriend and manager Jim Barber.
Last week a judge issued an arrest warrant on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Love is expected to surrender to police sometime next week.
Love recently pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour count of being under the influence of a controlled substance and agreed to enter a drug rehabilitation program.
Separate drug possession charges in Beverly Hills are still pending against Love and she has also been charged with assault in connection with a New York City nightclub performance.
