Four Globes for Return of the King
Monday 26 January 2004Helmer Peter Jackson was named Best Director and the picture also took the awards for Best Dramatic Film, Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
Sean Penn won the Best Dramatic Actor award for his performance in 'Mystic River' while Charlize Theron won the Best Dramatic Actress award for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in 'Monster'.
'Lost in Translation' was named Best Musical or Comedy Film with director Sophia Coppola winning the Best Screenplay award and star Bill Murray the winner of the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy award.
Best Supporting Actor went to Tim Robbins for 'Mystic River' and Renee Zellweger won Best Supporting Actress for 'Cold Mountain'.
Diane Keaton took home the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy award for 'Something's Gotta Give'.
'Osama', an Irish co-production which opens in Ireland on 20 February, was named Best Foreign Language Film.
The Golden Globes, awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, are seen as a barometer for next month's Academy Awards.
