David Bowie confirms Dublin date

David Bowie has announced that he will play a show in Dublin as part of his 'A Reality Tour' this autumn.

When he plays the Point Depot on Saturday 22 November it will be his first live date in Ireland in almost ten years.

'A Reality Tour' is Bowie's first major world tour since 1995.

He will visit seventeen countries in seven months and play to over one million people.

For the show, Bowie will be delving into his extensive back catalogue as well as debuting tracks from his upcoming album, 'Reality'.

Members of BowieNet, Bowie's online community, can buy tickets before the general public at www.davidbowie.com.

Tickets for the Dublin show are priced at €56.50 and go on sale from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide at 9am on Friday 20 June.

    In this final episode of the series, Adrian Edmondson returns to Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale where the Owen family are preparing for a very special day - it's youngest son Miles' first day at school. The Owen family also prepare for a rare night away from the farm when they are invited to a photography exhibition in Reeth where they are the stars of the show. Meanwhile, Dales estate agent Brian Carlisle takes on another role as auctioneer at the monthly family auction in Hawes village hall.

    The second episode of the two-part documentary examining censorship in Ireland takes a closer look at social censorship and will be examining issues such as homosexuality, abortion, contraception and the recent smoking ban. Interviewees include Senator David Norris, Professor Luke Clancy, Terry Prone, Brian Finnegan from Gay Community News, Willie Kavanagh from IRMA and Niall Behan from the Irish Family Planning Association.

  • - Kitchen Hero

    RTÉ One , 8.30pm

    This week Donal visits the Brown Hound Bakery in Drogheda, Co Louth, which he says was one of the highlights of making this series. After a baking masterclass the young kitchen whizz kid cooks up a delicious rustic rhubarb tart, lemon slices, and also a carrot and cardamom cake.

  • - Gok's Chinese Takeaway

    Channel 4, 8pm

    Not content with convincing women to shed their clothes, fashion guru Gok Wan fires up his wok to showcase that other great passion in his life - Chinese cooking. In this first programme of the series Gok guides viewers through the simple basics of Chinese cooking, from the 'holy trinity' of ingredients - garlic, ginger and spring onion, to the 'love box' of condiments. His first aim? Teaching how to cook the perfect egg fried rice, one of the first dishes he learnt to cook as a boy.
