Joe Pernice to publish book on Smiths album
Friday 30 May 2003A work of fiction based around The Smiths' 'Meat Is Murder' album, it is part of a short series of books about music, each one dealing with a single album.
Rather than write a critical piece, Pernice decided to craft a piece of writing on the importance of the album to "a nameless, scrawny, horny, American kid suffering through Catholic school in the deep South Shore of Boston."
The Pernice Brothers's new album, 'Yours, Mine & Ours' is out now on Independent Records.

His first aim? Teaching how to cook the perfect egg fried rice, one of the first dishes he learnt to cook as a boy.
