Globes for Gangs, Chicago, The Hours
Monday 20 January 2003'The Hours' took Best Picture (drama), Best Picture (musical or comedy) went to 'Chicago' and Martin Scorsese took Best Director for 'Gangs of New York'.
Acting honours went to Jack Nicholson - Best Actor (drama) - for 'About Schmidt', Nicole Kidman - Best Actress (drama) - for 'The Hours', Richard Gere - Best Actor (musical or comedy) - for 'Chicago' and Renee Zellweger - Best Actress (musical comedy) for 'Chicago'.
Best supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress went to Chris Cooper and Meryl Streep for 'Adaptation'.
Best screenplay went to Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor for 'About Schmidt'.
Spain's 'Talk to Her' won Best Foreign Language Film.
Best original Song went to Dubliners U2 for 'The Hands That Built America' ('Gangs of New York').
Jennifer Aniston, Donald Sutherland and Uma Thurman scooped awards for their television work.
The 60th annual ceremony took place at a star-studded ceremony in Beverly Hills, California last night.
'Chicago' and 'About Schmidt' are released in Ireland this Friday, 24 January.
