Letterman stays with CBS
Tuesday 12 March 2002Letterman's current contract with CBS expires in August and after much speculation about his future, the 54-year-old has signed a new five-year contract.
"We are thrilled that CBS will continue to be the home of David Letterman, without a question he is one of the great talents of our time," CBS president Leslie Moonves said in a statement.
Letterman, whose new deal is reportedly worth $31m a year, says he intends to finish his career at CBS.
