U2 record at under threat studio
Wednesday 30 January 2002In a written submission to An Board Pleanála's public hearing, Trevor Bowen said that the band began recording new material in the studios this month.
Mr Bowen is an accountant and a partner in U2's management company.
Opposing the studio's demolition, Mr Bowen said that U2 had invested heavily in the "music workshop".
U2 said in a statement last night that they would move if an alternative site could be found.
Four albums have been recorded at the studios in the past seven years.
The Dublin Docklands Development Authority said that talks were ongoing.
An Bord Pleanála inspector Padraig Thornton, who is chairing the public hearing, said that he hopes to reach a decision on the matter by April 9.

Meanwhile, Kenneth prepares for the Rapture.

With so many Europeans dominating the top of the World rankings, viewers can expect a tight contest (and maybe an Irish win).
