Andy Cato and Tom Findlay did their bit for world dancefloor harmony with their 1999 album 'Vertigo' and here they are again, trying to build bridges across genres from inside a studio deep in the Cotswold Hills.

While 'Goodbye Country...' may contain no classics like 'Vertigo's 'I See You Baby' or 'At the River', it's a livelier and more convincing album, never throwing too much light on the guest stars (Chic's Nile Rodgers, rapper Jeru The Damaja) and suggesting that the duo are less worried about chart placings and more concerned with their names in the history books. They'll have to wait a little bit longer for that to happen, but while the hard beats of 'Suntoucher' or the folk tinged chillout of 'Edge Hill' are nothing you haven't spun before, there's a measure and flow here beyond most of their peers.
