Letterman invite to Miss Colombia after heroin jibe
Thursday 17 May 2001In last Friday's Show Letterman joked that in the talent section of the competition, Miss Colombia would swallow 50 packets of heroin.
The comment led to New York's Columbian community threatening to demonstrate outside the CBS television studios.
Letterman has since apologized, saying: "There was no intent to offend her or the people of Colombia."
