Trinity may sue over Star Wars scene
Monday 11 November 2002The college alleges that the headquarters of the Jedi Archive in the recent 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' resembles the University's Long Room in the Old Library building (1712-1732).
College authorities instructed their legal advisors to look into the case after an article in college newspaper, the University Record.
The college claims no agreement had been made on the use of an image of the room, which receives over half a million visits a year.
However a spokesperson for Lucas said, "It is totally untrue that there is any connection between the scene in Attack of the Clones and Trinity College."
