Germany's Brendel wins gold in men's canoe sprint C1 1,000m

Germany's Sebastian Brendel won the Olympic gold medal in the men's canoe sprint C1 1,000m at the 2012 London Games on Wednesday.

Brendel finished with a time of 3:47.176 at Eton Dorney in London to claim Germany's seventh gold medal of the games.

Spain's David Cal Figueroa won the silver with a time of 3:48.053 and Canada's Mark Oldershaw won the bronze with a time of 3:48.502.

Germany now have 29 medals at the games with Spain collecting their seventh and Canada collecting their 13th.

Norway's Larsen wins men's canoe sprint K1 1,000m gold

Norway's Eirik Veras Larsen won the Olympic gold medal in the men's canoe sprint k1 1,000m at the 2012 London Games on Wednesday.

Larsen finished with a time of 3 minutes 26.462 seconds at Eton Dorney in London to claim Norway's first gold medal of the games.

Canada's Adam Van Koeverden won the silver with a time of 3:27.170 and Germany's Max Hoff won the bronze with a time of 3:27.759.

Norway now have three medals at the games with Canada collecting their 12th and Germany collecting their 28th.

Women's canoe sprint K4 500m final result

Hungary won the Olympic gold medal in the women's canoe sprint kayak four 500m at the 2012 London Games on Wednesday.

Hungary finished with a time of 1:30.827 at Eton Dorney in London to claim Hungary's sixth gold medal of the games.

Germany won the silver with a time of 1:31.298 and Belarus won the bronze with a time of 1:31.400.

Hungary now have 11 medals at the games with Germany collecting their 31st and Belarus collecting their ninth.

Men's canoe sprint K2 1,000m Final A - result

Hungary won the Olympic gold medal in the men's canoe sprint K2 1,000m on Wednesday.

Hungary finished with a time of 3:09.646 at Eton Dorney to claim Hungary's sixth gold medal of the Games.
