Marquez takes pole in Austin

Marc Marquez will line up in pole position for the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin tomorrow after he posted the quickest ever lap time at the Austin venue.
The 20-year-old Repsol Honda Team rider went round in two minutes 3.021 seconds to edge out team-mate Dani Pedrosa by two and a half tenths.
Cal Crutchlow will line up in third and Marquez, despite his dominance on the track, insisted he did not take pole for granted.
"The pace was quite good, but you never know what will happen," he said. "Before the qualifying practice I knew I could fight for pole, but these guys push so hard over one lap.
"Even so, I got my first pole, so I'm happy, but the most important thing is tomorrow."
The Circuit of the Americas is one of three venues in the United States on the 2013 MotoGP calendar, joining California's Laguna Seca and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
