With just Monday's deciding show jumping phase to come, Ireland's Aoife Clark moved into 12th place overall after the cross-country stage of the Badminton Horse Trials in England today.
The Naas-born Olympic rider, who held joint 16th place after dressage on Saturday night, rode a textbook round, coming home on Master Crusoe with no jumping faults and just 0.8 time faults.
Meanwhile, Carlow's Sam Watson finished the course with a completely clean sheet on Horseware Bushman, hoisting him 17 places into 24th position.
With Badminton first-timer Peter Hannigan suffering elimination after a fall, the remaining five Irish riders completed, with Elizabeth Power 29th (from 49th), Sarah Ennis 44th, Joseph Murphy 59th, Jim Newsam 64th and Michael Ryan 68th.
First place on the Badminton scoreboard is still held by reigning Olympic, World and European Champion Michael Jung, from Germany.
The final show jumping phase of the horse trials begins tomorrow morning, with 70 competitors still in the running.
