Ireland and Egypt go into the second day of their BNP Paribas Euro/Africa Zone Group II Davis Cup relegation play-off level at 1-1

The tie is being staged at Castleknock Tennis Club.

James McGee got Ireland off to a dream start yesterday with a straight sets victory over Karim Maamoun.

Sam Barry lost a thrilling five set match against Mohamed Safwat as Egypt evened proceedings.

Today’s schedule: James McGee/Sam Barry (IRL) v Mohamed Safwat/Sherif Sabry (EGY).

Sunday: James McGee (IRL) v Mohamed Safwat (EGY); Sam Barry (IRL) v Karim Maamoun (EGY).
