James McGee will open Ireland’s Davis Cup Euro/Africa Zone Group 11 second round tie with Finland when he faces Harri Heliovaara in tomorrow’s first rubber.

The tie commences at 3pm in Castleknock Lawn Tennis Club.

Captain Garry Cahill said: "Obviously with Jarkko Nieminen on their team, Finland are the favourites on paper.

“But we have prepared very well and we are really excited about starting the tie now. Hopefully James will have a good start to the tie for us and take the lead.”

Nieminen, who was as high as 13 in the world at one stage, will provide Ireland with a huge test but after victory against Estonia, there will be a positive feeling in the Irish camp.
