Ireland and Estonia were level at one rubber each after the opening day of Euro Africa Zone Group 11 Davis Cup tie in Riverview yesterday.

James McGee made the perfect start for Ireland as he crushed Jaan Kononov 6-0 6-1 6-3.

The second singles match went the way of the visitors as Estonian number one Vladimir Ivanov saw off Sam Barry in four sets, 3-6 6-2 6-3 7-5.

Today’s doubles match begins at 4pm.
