Three Irish tennis players won titles in advance of the weekend's Davis Cup match against Egypt

Irish tennis players James McGee, Sam Barry and James Cluskey all won titles at the weekend in advance of their Davis Cup tie against Egypt.

In Bahrain, James McGee won the singles and doubles titles at the Bahrain F1 Futures.

McGee defeated Jordi Samper-Montana (ESP) in the finals on a scoreline 6-4 6-4, and was also victorious in the doubles event with fellow Irish Davis Cup player, Sam Barry.

The pair had a 7-5 4-6 win over Jeremy Jahn (GER) / Matthew Short (GBR) in the finals at the weekend.

In Italy, James Cluskey and partner Purav Raja (IND) defeated Italian pair Andrea Agazzi (ITA) / Enrico Iannuzzi (ITA) to win the finals of the men’s doubles at the Italy F2 Futures on a scoreline 6-7 6-4.
