Niland pipped in Davis Cup epic

Ireland finished level with Hungary after round one of their Group II Europe Africa Davis Cup tie in Szeged, Hungary.
James McGee defeated Adam Kellner in five sets in the opening rubber.
McGee came through on a scoreline of 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-7 6-4.
Later, in the second rubber, Conor Niland came from two sets down to force a decider but just fell short against former Wimbledon boys’ champion Marton Fucsovics, losing the final set 6-2.
Tomorrow’s rubber sees McGee and Sam Barry take on Fucsovics and Attila Balazs.
