Lleyton Hewitt has been handed a wild card for the forthcoming US Open.
The 2001 champion joins a list of American players handed entry to the championships by the United States Tennis Association.
Among those names is former semi-finalist Robby Ginepri, who joins teenager Ryan Harrison, and world number 89 Donald Young.
France's Julien Benneteau has also been handed a place in the men's draw, with the action getting under way on August 29.
A further place will be given to the winner of an upcoming invitational play-off.
