Lithuania defeated Ireland in the second round Davis Cup tie 3-0 by winning the doubles in straight sets this afternoon at Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.
The Lithuanian captain changed his team nomination one hour before play commenced to include Ricardis Berankis and Laurynas Grigelis in his doubles team, both of whom won their singles matches Friday evening.
Ireland played with Irish number three and four Barry King and James Cluskey.
Berankis and Grigelis defeated Ireland in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-4
Tomorrow’s two matches are now dead rubbers and will be the best of three sets.
