Ellen Keane finished fourth in the SB9 100m breaststroke final at the Paralympics Swimming European Championships in Eindhoven.

And Keane continued her good form with a season’s best swim in the 100m Freestyle this evening touching in 1:08.29 and eighth overall. Great Britain’s Stephanie Millward and Amy Marren grabbed gold and silver with Spain’s Sarai Gascon finishing in the bronze medal position.

Speaking after the race, Keane said: “I’m happy to get another season’s best today. I’m not normally a freestyle swimmer so it’s been nice to swim some different events at these championships. I’m looking forward to a rest tomorrow and to prepare for the 200m IM on Friday.”

On Friday, James Scully returns to the pool in the heats of the S5 200m freestyle, the event he claimed bronze in at the 2013 World Championships, while Keane competes in the SM9 200m individual medley final.
