Ireland’s Andrew Bree is through to the semi-final of the men’s 100 metre breaststroke on day one of the European Short Course Swimming Championship at Debrecen in Hungary.
Bree clocked 1:00.05 for his heat and was ranked 14th overall which was good enough for a place in tonight’s semi final.
Bree, Julie Douglas and Ashling Cooney are the three Irish swimmers competing in the 4 day meet in Hungary.
Bree, who is the only Irish swimmer to have so far qualified for the Olympic Games, will also compete in the 50 and 200 metres breaststroke, the 100 Individual medley and 100 metres freestyle.
