Updated: Thursday, 14 Jun 2007 17:09
Andrew Bree, silver medalist in the 200 metres breaststroke at the European Championships in Dublin last December, has failed to qualify for the forthcoming Olympic Games.
Bree was attempting to make the "A" Qualifying Standard at the Scottish Nationals in Glasgow today, but failed to make the qualifying standard which means that Michael Williamson will be the only Irish swimmer to compete in the 200m breaststroke
in Athens.
