BOHEMIANS 1-0 CORK CITY

Dinny Corcoran scored the only goal of the game as Bohemians beat Cork City to advance to the FAI Ford Cup quarter-finals.

The striker got on the end of Jason Byrne’s deflected shot to fire the home side ahead six minutes before the break.

Billy Dennehy and Gearóid Morrissey had the visitors’ best opportunities of a feisty replay encounter at Dalymount Park but both were foiled by goalkeeper Dean Delany.

Kevin Devaney had a number of chances to put the Gypsies out of sight but they held on to book a place in the pot for tomorrow’s draw.
