Holders Hoops to face Glentoran in Setanta Sports Cup

Holders Shamrock Rovers will face Glentoran in the quarter-finals of the 2014 Setanta Sports Cup.

The draw for the quarter-finals took place at the Aviva Stadium this afternoon as the Airtricity League and the Danske Bank Premiership were paired against each other for the opening round.

Cup newcomers Ballinamallard United will meet Airtricity League champions St Patrick’s Athletic, while Crusaders will take on FAI Ford Cup holders Sligo Rovers.

Dundalk will play Coleraine, the only team to win a leg against eventual winners Shamrock Rovers in the 2013 competition.

The first legs will be played on Monday, 24 February and the second legs will take place on Monday, 10 March.

The semi-finals will be played over two legs with the first semi-final being played on Monday, 24 March and Tuesday, 15 April while the second semi-final will take place on Tuesday, 25 March and Monday, 14 April.
