Shamrock Rovers boss Trevor Croly has completed the signing of Ryan Brennan and David O'Connor ahead of the 2014 Airtricity League Premier Division season.

Brennan joins Rovers having spent the last two seasons at Drogheda United, having signed from Monaghan United, while O’Connor has spent the last four seasons with UCD having played schoolboy football for Belvedere.

Commenting on his signing, 22-year-old Brennan said: "I had a few offers on the table, but for me the decision was a no-brainer. This is the biggest club in the country and I’m buzzing to have signed for Shamrock Rovers.

"I am working on my own fitness plan at the moment to get me ready for pre-season, which I'm really looking forward to getting going. I'll be training, working and playing with great players and that was another big draw for me."

And O’Connor, who is also 22, said: "To be honest, I feel like this is a huge achievement for me. I am delighted to be signing for the biggest club in the country.

"I have been in contact with the manager since the season finished, so I am delighted to have actually signed. I can just look forward to working hard for the year ahead now."
