Bohemians have announced the departure of manager Aaron Callaghan following discussions and agreement with the board of directors of the Airtricity Premier Division club.

A statement released on the club's website on Monday evening stated:

“The club has reached this stage with much regret,” said Bohemian president Matt Devaney. “Aaron has made a great contribution to all facets of Bohemians in his 18 months with us.

“But following a run of disappointing results it was clear some change was needed. We are looking for an injection of new ideas and new urgency.”

Assistant manager Owen Heary will assume the responsibility of caretaker manager with immediate effect.

Bohs currently lie second from bottom of the Premier Division table, just one point ahead of bottom side Shelbourne and four points behind UCD.
