St Patrick’s Athletic have signed Killian Brennan and Conan Byrne among 11 players secured for next season.

Jake Carroll and PFAI Young Player of the Year Chris Forrester are under contract with the Saints while Ian Bermingham, John Russell, Ger O’Brien, Conor Kenna, Kenny Browne, Anthony Flood and Christy Fagan have also extended their deals.

Pat’s beat off competition for a number of their re-signings, including interest from Shamrock Rovers for Bermingham and both the Hoops and Sligo Rovers for Russell.

Brennan had a disappointing campaign with Shamrock Rovers last season and will hope to rediscover his form with a move to Inchicore.

Byrne had been with Shelbourne and links up with Liam Buckley once again having previously worked together at Sporting Fingal.

Shane McFaul has been linked with a return to Ireland with Pat’s but a move has yet to be agreed.

Pat's goalkeeper Barry Murphy is rumoured to be in contention for a move to Trevor Croly’s side.

Buckley said: "We were delighted that so many players from last year were eager to sign for us again.

"It’s a sign that they are confident that we can be even more successful next year."
