Shamrock Rovers look set to announce Trevor Croly as their new manager at a news conference on Wednesday.
Croly is understood to have reached agreement to return to the club after being assistant to Liam Buckley at St Patrick’s Athletic this year.
Croly was previously an assistant boss at the Hoops and served during Michael O’Neill’s successful tenure.
Brian Laws had been in charge of first team affairs at Rovers after Stephen Kenny’s exit but he joined Scunthorpe United last week.
