Sligo Rovers have made their first move in the transfer market this summer with the capture of Ryan Connolly for the remainder of the season.
The midfielder will join the Airtricity Premier Division leaders on 1 July after being released by Derby County.
Connolly, from Mayo, has also had a spell with Ayr United and represented the Republic of Ireland at several underage levels.
The 20-year-old said: “I’m very happy to sign with Sligo Rovers. They are one of the leading clubs in the country and I’ve been very impressed with what I’ve seen so far.
"The training facilities are excellent and I want to hit the ground running and try to make my mark.
"I know it’ll be difficult, there is a great bunch of lads here and I’ll have to work hard to get my chance and impress the manager."
