Round 11 of the Bus Éireann Women’s National League saw Raheny United cut Peamount United's lead at the top of the table to just one point.

In Dublin, hosts Shamrock Rovers fell foul to Raheny United.

A hat-trick from Mary Waldron ensured a win for Raheny. Waldron found the net in the 16th, 82nd and 85th minutes of the game in Tallaght Stadium.

Wexford Youths will be pleased with their performance against Castlebar Celtic, putting their poor run of luck at home to an end with a 2-0 win.

The Youth's goals came from Edel Kennedy in the 39th minute, and Maria Delahunty in the 78th minute.

In CIT Stadium, a strong first half performance from Cork Women’s FC meant the sides were 1-1 at half time.

However, Peamount kicked in to action with goals from league top goal scorer Stephanie Roche, Sara Lawlor and Louise Quinn. Denise O’Sullivan put some respectability into the scoreline by netting two goals for Cork at the game finished 2-6.

The next fixtures take place on Sunday 11 March when Peamount take on Wexford Youths, Raheny United are at home to Cork Women’s FC, and finally Castlebar Celtic against Shamrock Rovers. All games kick-off at 2pm on Sunday, 26 February.
